Refund Policy

Last Updated: August 26, 2026

This Refund Policy contained the refunding and cancellation terms for original and commissioned artwork purchased from Julia Widhalm ("Julia Widhalm," "we," "us," or "our")

Because our artwork is currently not purchased or shipped directly through the Website's Wix platform, cancellations and refunds are handled separately and directly between us and the customer.

Commission Deposits

A 50% deposit of the total artwork price is required to secure your place on our commission waitlist. This total artwork price does not include cost of shipping.

Once paid, this 50% deposit is non-refundable.

The deposit secures your place on our commission waitlist and allows us to reserve time and resources for your commission.

All Cancellations

Any cancellation request should be submitted to us through the contact information or communication method used to arrange the commission or through this Website's contact form. We will confirm the cancellation and explain any applicable payment consequences.

The non-refundable deposit policy does not limit any rights a customer may have under applicable law.

Cancelling a Commission Before Final Work Begins

If you decide to cancel your commission before we have begun work on the final artwork, your original 50% deposit will not be refunded. Final work does not include the initial draft sketch.

No additional cancellation fee will be charged in this situation.

Cancelling a Commission After Final Work Begins

If you decide to cancel your commission after we have begun work on the final artwork, you will be billed an additional 25% of the total artwork cost. This does not include shipping fees.

This additional 25% is separate from the original 50% non-refundable deposit.

Therefore, if you cancel after work on the final artwork has begun, you will be responsible for a total of 75% of the total artwork cost:

  • 50% — Original non-refundable deposit

  • 25% — Additional cancellation charge after work has begun

  • 75% total — Amount owed after cancellation

The remaining 25% of the artwork cost will not be charged following the cancellation. We will communicate with customers on an individual basis regarding any cancellation fees that may be applicable.

Cancelling a Commission After Completion

If you decide to cancel your commission after it has been fully completed, you will be responsible for paying 100% of the total artwork cost. This does not include shipping fees.

The remaining final artwork cost will be charged to the customer following the cancellation. We will communicate with customers on an individual basis regarding any cancellation fees that may be applicable.

Changes to a Commission

Once we have begun final work on a commissioned piece, significant changes to the original commission request may result in additional charges.

If a requested change substantially alters the original concept, design, size, materials, or other agreed-upon details, we will discuss the change and any additional cost with you before proceeding whenever reasonably possible.

If We Cancel a Commission

In the unlikely event that we are unable to complete a commission after accepting it, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.

If we cancel the commission for reasons within our control, we will provide a full refund of all amounts you have paid, including the original 50% deposit.

If circumstances outside our reasonable control prevent us from completing a commission, we will communicate with you and work toward a reasonable resolution.

Original Artwork Sales

For artwork that is not commissioned specifically for you, our refund policy is as follows:

All original artwork sales are final and non-refundable once payment has been completed.

Delayed, Lost, or Damaged Artwork

Please carefully review our Shipping Policy for information regarding delayed, lost, or damaged artwork. You may need to provide us with additional information, including but not limited to images of damaged packaging, images of damaged artwork, or other necessary information so that we may file a claim. More information can be found in our Shipping Policy.

Refunds for delayed, lost, or damaged artwork will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We will contact you directly with any information on full or partial refunds, if applicable.

Refunds

If you believe you are eligible for a refund or need to report an issue with an artwork purchase or commission, please contact us through our contact form on the Website or through the contact information or communication method used to arrange the commission.

Please include:

  • Your first and last name;

  • Email address;

  • The artwork or commission involved;

  • The date of your purchase or commission, if known;

  • The reason for your refund request; and

  • Any photographs or other information relevant to your request.

We may request additional information when reasonably necessary to review your request.

If we approve a refund, we will generally return the applicable amount using the original payment method where reasonably possible.

The amount of time required for a refund to appear in your account may depend on the payment provider or financial institution used for the original payment.

Because our current transactions may be completed through third-party payment services such as PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle, the timing and method of a refund may vary depending on the payment service used.

Where permitted by applicable law, any non-refundable payment-processing fees charged to us by a third-party payment provider may be deducted from an approved refund.

Changes to Refund Policy

We reserve the right to update our refund policies, methods, and other practices as our business develops.

Any material changes to this Refund Policy will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the beginning of this policy.
